Document Design & DPT Services

In connection with her writing and editing projects, Dr. Dakin often provides design services and prepares camera-ready hard copy or electronic files for commercial printing. She also consults on design of documents prepared by clients’ in-house staff, providing guidance on use of type, use of graphics, and layout. She offers services in these areas:

• document design and layout
• typography for desktop publishing
• data graphics and tables
• coordination with commercial printers

Dr. Dakin also has designed, developed, and published two Web sites: this one and the official Web site of the Choral Society of Durham (see link below), for which she serves as Webmaster. She developed these sites with Adobe Photoshop and Macromedia Freehand and Dreamweaver 4.0.

Dr. Dakin has over 20 years’ experience designing documents, designing and creating data graphics, and preparing camera-ready copy, and she has 10 years’ experience creating electronic files for output to film. Types of documents she has designed and produced include the following:
