Notetaking
(Rapporteur) Services
Dr.
Dakin provides professional notetaking (rapporteur) services for
scientific conferences and workshops. She takes detailed notes on
presentations and panel discussions and provides a summary in the
form of a written report. As requested, she also facilitates drafting
of reports by participants during conferences.
She
confers with clients on the following aspects of each assignment:
level of detail for the report
report format
report organization (chronological or topic)
identification of speakers
editorial and writing style
availability of reference materials
Depending
on the length of the conference and the type of report desired,
the report usually can be delivered about a week after the end of
the conference. Reports can be provided in hard copy and/or electronic
form.

Experience
Dr.
Dakin has served as notetaker for about a dozen scientific conferences
and workshops, ranging in length from two days to a week. In addition,
she has taken the minutes of scientific advisory board meetings
and high-profile government-sponsored public meetings. She has summarized
discussions of a variety of scientific and technical topics, including
politically sensitive issues.
