Writing & Editing Services
Dr.
Dakin provides writing and editing services for contract, grant,
and site proposals, including proposals to federal government agencies,
state and local agencies, corporations, and private foundations.
She will serve as writing coordinator for large proposal efforts,
and can provide the following services:
consult on proposal strategy
create the proposal outline
design or consult on proposal format
write proposal text from client-provided sources
coordinate input from writers
edit for unity of writing style
edit for consistency of editorial style
verify responsiveness to the solicitation
coordinate review and revision
coordinate document production
coordinate assembly and shipping of the proposal package

Many
of these proposals have been successful bids for large federal government
research and technical services contracts.
A
significant accomplishment was editing the State of North Carolinas
site proposal for the Superconducting Super Collider, which earned
the State a spot on the short list of seven finalists among 43 proposals
to the U.S. Department of Energy.
Dr. Dakin
also has served as a contract proposal reviewer for the National
Institute of Environmental Health Sciences, giving her a special
perspective on the effectiveness of proposal documents.
